Two Bar Melody

Can you drop a 2 bar melody on the first pad and have it play through for two bars?

No, you can't do that with the sequences on the BSP.

You can set up a controller map to send MIDI notes or CC's to a DAW and have them trigger a sequence in it (refer to the DAW for what MIDI message it expects for triggering sequences).
