Controller mode encoders and Ableton MIDI mapping

Hello, I've tried using Absolute mode, relative #1, relative #2 and relative #3 to control Ableton parameters with the Beatstep Pro, but none of this modes work like I would expect. How do you get your encoders to work like on a APC40? I need encoders to remember their values according to the values on the device they are controlling.

I've been searching all over the web and as of now it seems like there's no fix for this?
