Connecting beatstep pro with microbrute
« on: November 19, 2018, 09:41:32 pm »
Hey, i just got a beatstep pro and i would like to connect it with my microbrute. I'm a little bit confused about how to do it. Is it true I just need some CV cables from the beatstep (pitch, velo, gaet) too the microbrute (pitch out, gate out, gate in)? And how about noise from the beatstep pro. I can't see any speaker input, is it possile too get "sequenced" noise from the microbrute?

BSP is a sequencer and doesn't produce any sound of it's own, I'm not sure what you mean by "BSP noise".

You are correct with the connections from the BSP to the Microbrute.  You can use a MIDI cable too.  Connect the BSP MIDI out to the Microbrute's MIDI in.  If you want to sequence the Microbrute using the BSP you will need to set the sequencer on the BSP you want to use to the same channel as that you have set the Microbrute.
Currently running https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/1311723 / www.modulargrid.net, sequencing with KSP and recording with a Zoom (no DAW involved, for better or worse ;) )
