Since there ARE over 6000 sounds in the SYNTH section alone, and that many of the sounds are instruments, I've gone through each sound and created my own banks and copied them into the appropriate bank. Example of the banks I've created:
DRUMS
DRUM KITS (Each part of the keyboard has different sounds like Cymbals, Kick drum, Snare, Woods etc)
FLUTE
BRASS
PIANO
ORGAN
BASS
STRINGS bowed
STRINGS plucked
GUITAR
TUBA
BELLS
GONGS
and others. This way, I can go straight to an instrument without hunting them down or writing them down etc.
I've added PHIL as a type so that I can display all of the instruments at once and also ELECTRIC so that I can choose ELECTRIC PIANO or BASS and others if a bank has too many instruments, such as: SHORT and DECREASING for sounds that are short and those that decrease to no volume.
It's not a one day operation for sure. It took me over a week, an hour here, three hours there.
Many sounds I couldn't distinguish so I created a SYNTH bank and placed anything that sounded like a synthesizer sound in there.
Within the banks, if there was an instrument that really sounded great, then I would FAV it for quick access.
Then I backed up the presets to an external hard drive and also Google Drive... Just in case.
