Make a Utility Command for Local control
« on: January 18, 2017, 02:54:26 pm »
As it is now. its only possible to turn Local on and off from within the MIDI Control Center.
It would be very useful to make a Utility Command for this function too.

Imagine the scenario that you have been using the Matrixbrute in the studio and tuned Local to off so you can use the Matrixbrute as a master keyboard to control other synths. Then its time to go to the gig and you take the Matrixbrute with you and when you turn it on to do the soundcheck, you notice that nothing happens when you press the keys.... Then you suddenly need a computer with the MCC installed just to change the settings back to Local on... Not very practical.

OMG yes, some way to turn local control on/off from the front panel is a MUST!

+1: Absolutely necessary and a feature I miss on almost every synth I own.

Any news on this - very important - happened to me, dumb fool that I am I took the MB on tour and forgot to set to local Control On. Had to download MCC onto laptop in dressing room behind stage, no wifi, had to use punishing 4g roaming costs to download it. Very difficult.!

+1 Very useful feature.

You can only use one client attached to say USB MIDI port. Switching back and forth between MCC and DAW requires first disconnecting current client then patch in the desired one

In addition to adding a Local On/ Off from the synth w/o the computer, it would also be very useful to have the fidelity to turn the keyboard off but still have local control of the front panel (similar to Voyager Local On/Off options). I run into this often where I'm using the Matrixbrute to control other modular instruments and want to use the Matrixbrute's onboard LFO's and envelopes routed outside to other modules.  When Local Control is off the front panel does not respond to knob and fader changes.  I've resorted to muting the VCOS, with Local On, so I can use the modulation features outside of the Matrixbrute.

Thanks
