These should (I think) all be UI/firmware based changes:
1) It would be great to have the option to assign a different midi channel to each instrument along with midi note. This way I could sequence difference devices with each track of the sequencer. (say I have a kick drum sound on this synth, hi hat sound on that one, etc.)
2) PROBABILITY function could be added to individual step events, (much like holding step and using SWING knob to shift events) -- hold step and use RANDOMNESS knob to specify a probability from 0-100% that the event will trigger.
3) MUTE/SOLO GROUP functionality -- hold MUTE to mute/unmute tracks; letting go of mute returns to normal so that instruments can be played/recorded from pads while mute is active. Same for solo. Shift + Mute clears the group as always.
4) SHIFT instrument tracks forward/backward by one step.
