Importing Sysex
« on: December 12, 2017, 08:38:52 am »
Hello,

As I'm sure many do, I have several performances, patches, all as system exclusive files saved directly from a DX7 FDII. Where exactly does DX7V store converted patches? I'm getting messages saying "Presets imported successfully" but I cannot seem to locate them.

Thanks!

Hi,

Unfortunattely we only support DX7 MKI SysEx for now.
But we should warn the user and not display a popup saying "Preset Imported Succesfully"...

Regards,

Matthieu

Yeah, this confused me for a while as well, until I found out my sysex files in fact were NOT imported successfully. ;)

Yep, this is our mistake. I've warned the DevTeam and we will change that.

Would you be able to add import compatibility with Dexed sysex files? That would be an enormously useful addition if possible. I have done all my preset cataloguing using Dexed, and DX7v doesn't appear to import the sysex files.

many thanks jeff

Hi Jeff,

I'll log this as a feature request to the DevTeam.

Hi Matt,

I met the same problem and struggled until I read this. I had seen in a review that the DX7 V was better at importing correctly sysex from DX7 V than the FM7 or FM8 which was really good news to me, but...

So, will you actually make it possible to import presets from DX7 MK II ?

Thank you,

JD

I’m still wondering why the whole DX/TX line wasn’t modeled as a whole. Its almost 2020 and we still only have dx7 Syx imports “dexed FM8 ect ect”...
