Is there a way to use noise as modulation source, other than the hardwired option? the answer to me seems no but I may be missing something.. ^_^

The audio noise source will not work in the modulation (-rate) matrix. However, LFO 1 and 2 have noise as a selectable waveform. It doesn't go that high of course, but it has some of the characteristics of the red noise.
