I haven't owned a midi controller for many years and looking to get something for live use. I was hopeful someone out there could provide me with some help/advice.
I envisage, when playing live I will be loading a separate Ableton set per song. Will the Beatstep be able to pick up on this or is there a way for me to say, I load track 3 of the set, I can choose program 3 from Beatstep and all the midi mapping will be set for use with the VTS etc used in that track?
If anyone else uses Live could you let me know how you put a set together. Is it all in one project or do you load separate project per track? Also how do you use Beatstep with Live?
Also, how do I use the pads to trigger a scene? Say I have 20 scenes for the whole song and I want to play 8 bars of first scene as intro, then 16 of scene 2 for verse etc.
