Funny quirks of the sequencer (with youtube video)

When playing the sequencer, there are some inexplicable things happening. Especially when tapping the "tap" button. They  may be undocumented features or bugs.

Thanks for the report. I just received my Matrix last evening, so I am maybe the oldest (66) and dumbest ? new owner. Although the manual has a lot of content, there has to be an huge amount not covered.
I have not a clue how tap should work, so no help there. Please let us all know what you find out.
I saw a reply in another MB section (this forum) about the sequencer/arpeggiater combo that was not working and the guy from Arturia said that was to be fixed in firmware update 1.1. ?
I hope this forum can be a help for all us learners (and unpaid beta testers :-) ) There are already a few you tube videos that show how to do different things that seem to be helpful. Does anyone know of other places or forums for help and comradely stuff.

Welcome to the forum. I'm even dumber and older then you are (67) I think the average age here on the forum is higher then you think. After all, you have be either old, or crazy or rich to be able to buy a matrixbrute.

The TAP button does weird things here as well, depending what mode you are in.

There are some youngsters around, I'm only 50 this year

About the tap button :
→ It should insert rests into your sequence when in REC mode. If it's not in the manual that's a mistake from us.

I'm unable to reproduce exactly the bug here.
Did you press record button before pressing play button ?
Are you able to reproduce the bug every time with any Sequencer preset ?

The MatrixBrute had been betatested for several weeks and I can tell you that a lot of time had been spent on the MatrixBrute firmware.
I'm sorry if there's still some bugs. We are currently working on an update for the MatrixBrute firmware in order to fix some bugs and also add the MatrixArpeggio mode and the Live Recording mode.
And BTW Betatesters are not paid for their work  !

Ben, there was a smiley on my beta test comment. I am glad to help out Arturia by providing feedback. I know how complex new product development can be. I know that you have spent a long time getting MB working correctly (even figuring out what "correctly" is )  Is this forum the best place to ask questions about the MB ?  We users of cutting edge tech must be patient and helpful because it is a journey.

The manual alludes to the live recording mode.

I cannot invoke this on my MB , so look forward to it in an update.

The MB is phenomenal!

I Khidr,
i had a look at your video and was not able to reproduce your strange behavior on my MB.

Edit : after some tries i managed to reproduce the same strange behavior, but it seems to depend how i create the sequence ( not sure i'll explore it )
