microbrute with guitar amp?
« on: June 22, 2016, 05:32:34 pm »
Hi!  Despite having virtually no innate musical talent or skill, I've been lurking on the beatstep pro forum for some time & mucking around with a couple of volcas - and I've finally bit the bullet and ordered a microbrute.
I happen to have an old guitar practise amp that I've connected to my volca keys a few times which does sound quite good.
I'm linking to a copy of the data/manual for this amp - a Peavey Blazer 158 Transtube
Before I do anything rash and blow the speaker, is there anything I should be aware of when using an amp like this with a synth like the microbrute?  Can I just use the low/mid/high EQ on the amp to keep the low end from damaging the speaker coil, or it more complicated than that?

do be careful... I hooked my microbrute up to a amp and it caused the protection system to kick in..  didnt notice that the microbrute was at full volume... I was lucky in that no harm to the amp or speakers occured.
