CPU spikes and crash
« on: June 26, 2016, 11:43:38 am »
I'm testing V5, Logic Pro, Mac Pro 2008, 2.8 quad, 14 Gb ram, ssd boot. 256 buffer.
Selecting a preset I get a cup spike, one processor, if I play a note, logic crashes. This happens on all inst. exept Synclavier. If I wait for the spike to go down it works ok.
I'm also getting no sound after a while, minutes. Is this because it's in demo mode? Analog lab 2 has the same problem.

Just bought V-5.
It's very good, sounds great, installing, activation was a breeze.
The b3 V mutes the sound, must reinsert it, then it works?
Sustain pedal works on almost all instruments!!!! :)
The Synclavier is brilliant, instant 80'!
Tried to automate a filter in Logic, didn't work...?
The grand piano sounds not so great...
All synths sounds better than V-coll.3
Nice job Arturia !!!  ;D

Hello iWind,

thanks for issue reporting. And for the kind other words too !
In order for me to investigate further on this one, i'd like to know your versions of OSX and logic pro. All the versions of the VC5 plugins should be X.0.2.98, except for the mini V, which is 3.0.2.99.
I'd also like to know a specific preset / instrument , which could provoke cpu spike. Need also to know instrument/VST parameter you tried to automate.

Now that you're not in demo mode anymore, do you still encounter the issues described in your first post?

If it ends with a logic crash, attaching a crashlog on this post will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Best
