I bought a stereo splitter cable for sending clock and reset from the BSP to my eurorack modular. I've been annoyed by the running gate output, since inputting this into a reset makes the module reset forever, meaning it's not running at all. For a while I used a high pass filter module to filter out the DC, effectively making the running gate a reset trigger. However this means the filter is stuck with this duty, where I'd obviously rather use it as a filter.

So I googled a bit, and today I did a dead simple (1 resistor, 1 cap and 1 diode, < .5 euro total) passive hpf, build into a small male-female mini-jack cable. Works like a charm  :) Sharing it in the hope it might be useful to others.

Here's a three part video (instagram), part 1: no reset, part 2: running gate makes sequencer stop forever, part 3: with the filter it works as expected.

That's excellent... :)

My admiration goes to you, and I don't even have a modular...

Necessity is the Mother of Invention  ;)
