CS-80V Detune Panel
« on: January 30, 2015, 08:55:55 pm »
Hi,

Sorry if I am being a bit stupid (again), but I can't find any documentation about the Detune Panel (which appears when you click the "CS-80V" text next to the ribbon controller).

I may have hit the Reset button on this by mistake, so I wondered if anybody could tell me if there are some default values for each of the 8 tuning pots and the General knob ?

Thank you.

Wow..!!  I had no idea this panel existed..!!

It is not mentioned anywhere in the  V 2.0 Manual.

Thank you for discovering it..!

The trimmers, rather than being actual "tuning" controls,  appear to control the "drift" and "uncertainty"  of the oscillator's tuning.

A setting of "0.00" is no drift.

A setting of "1.00" is pretty random.

When I checked mine, they were all set to "0.5000" and the "general" tuning to "0.9993"

Exactly.

I think Arturia make incredible simulations, but their tech support is all over the map... I made an inquiry about the apparent lack of a master tuning control on the CS-80V and wanted to know if it was possible to adjust the amount of "drift" or detune. They replied: "We don't have a tuning option in our soft-synths"

Er.. ok.  :/
