ARTURIA vintage effects emulations??
« on: December 13, 2014, 05:55:03 pm »
I've been thinking recently how there aren't many good (and exact) Roland space echo plugs about.
What are people's thoughts on Arturia introducing a range of vintage effects emulations to compliment the v collection synths/keys?

Hi,

This is an amazing sounding unit. It's not your normal plug as it's reliant on DSP hardware to run.

Yeah I was aware of the UAD plug but I'm looking for something native (OSX 64 bit)
Having said that a adding UAD DSP to my studio is on "the list"

Its a shame GSI never updated theirs to 64bit...it sounded very close to the UAD plug for only € 19!

That's would be nice to have an easy to use Small Stone Phaser VST...

Plug in a real phaser inside Logic with a Duet 2 USB is a nightmare. I'm still trying to do it...

Please Arturia, make us a small stone phaser as VST... That's another wish!

Best,

Fred.

D16 do a nice phaser which can sound a lot like a small stone (and a lot of other phasers too)
I put it on the solina v or mini v and it's instant jarre.
Their electric mistress emulation is the business too...
There seem to be a lot of plug in approximations of effects pedals out there but few that nail the analog originals.
I've got a lot of pedals (70 odd at the last count) but they such a pain to use as aux sends from logic.
I tend to use them for tracking guitars in line between the guitar and amp.
Thus it would be nice to have some of the classics done properly.

I would be happy to at least get their already existing Wurlitzer V/Vox V/Solina V effects and Amps/Cabs as individual VST fx or 1 VST "box" of them to chain them.

It would be nice, to see such Arturia FX Pack as an extra on... V Collection 5 :)

I was thinking the other day how nice it would be if Arturia opened up their effects in general... ok you can use the Arp or MM but it's a bit of a convoluted process..... Arturias choruses are quite interesting i think, kind of Dimension D.... ish sometimes....

Go on Arturia...... why not create separate plugin just containing the effects...

Re UAD Roland plugins.... they are no more i'm afraid, their licensing deal with Roland expired recently so they are no long available, i was lucky enough to have picked them up before though.... IMHO, SoundToys Echo Boy is THE BEST delay plugin on the market..... since getting it i very rarely reach for the UAD delays (unless i want to do something very quick with the Re201).... it's THAT good... Their Primal Tap delay can also do some pretty cool Re201 type sounds too.

I noticed that, luckily I have them. Shame really. Yes, love soundtoys, the Echoboy is my go to delay for crunching up vocals a bit. Love the distortion on it.
