how about the switches / pots that dont send any MIDI data, to send some custom message on use?
simplest use of this would be to map the titles of devices or tracks in Ableton live, to show the track or device being controlled from the BSP
but to avoid conflicts, have the message that is sent to be set in the MIDI control centre. or to disable any message sent.
