From Synth into Beatstep Pro
« on: April 20, 2017, 05:50:18 pm »
Hello all,

Hope someone can help with this: is it possible to record a sequence into the beatstep pro (seq1 or seq2) via an external synth? Let's say I find it easier to play a sequence on my Juno 60 (midi fitted), could I record it into the beatstep pro while still being able to transpose it via the Juno while this is playing? Same way you could do with the msq 700?
If possible, could you explain how?

Thanks all in advance

I grec

Hi bongoloid,
Yes it is possible. Use MIDI cables between BSP and your Juno 60 and set your MIDI channels respectively on BSP and your other gear.

On BSP:
Output channels: use CHAN + STEP buttons
Input channels: use SHIFT + CHAN + STEP buttons

Best,
Y.
