[SOLVED]Beatstep Pro Roller Looper Touch Strip not working

tried using the Roller/Looper touch strip and i can't seem to get it to work.
(using 1.1.1.6)

followed all the basic settings in the manual and no luck.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
