BSP + MINIBRUTE CV gate = horrible poppy artifacts [SOLVED]
« on: September 12, 2015, 12:53:45 pm »
With the BSP feeding just gate into MB with all OSC waves at 0 horrible poppy sound is produced. With the waveform volumes raised it's just a little more disguised until the sound is fed through a delay and then it sounds a like a bunch of galloping horses which is not the sound I'm after btw :(  This popping sound can't be right?

Attached audio is 1st step of 16 highlighted with gate at minimum (01) slowly increasing up to max (SLD, which produces the worst doubling.)

BSP gate is V-trig on both sequences V/Oct
MB parameters are all set to 0 or off,  open cutoff,  0 resonance , waveforms at 0, etc etc.  Gate source KBD (other settings it's the same popping sound)

When the env sounds a little too snappy with midi I can at least back off the attack but with this cv thats not an option.
Is there something wrong with the brute?

Well I was obviously very tired yesterday as looking at my connections I had BSP gate going into MB Amp input not gate input  :o There is still a very small popping sound but at least now I can adjust the amp envelope to remove this.
