audio driver will not install

hi,
   i have recently purchased spark but i'm having a problem getting the audio driver to install on xp.
 windows installs the generic driver without giving me an opportunity to install the spark controller driver. i have tried to install it manually but can't seem to locate the spark_xp.inf file on the instalation disc...am i missing something?
 any help will be humbly appreciated..

Hi rogerls,
the attached zip contains a series of screenshot.
If you follow them you should be able to install the .inf.
Actually this is not the driver itself as Spark use Windows generic driver.
It allow you to have Spark listed as "Spark Controller" and not "USB audio device".
If you already connected Spark, you have to go to the device manager and remode the USB Audio Device corresponding entry to get the installation wizard again.
To be sure what entry is Spark:
- open the device manager, go to Audio, Video, Game controller.
- disconnect Spark (it should remove a "USB Audio Device" line)
- reconnect Spark (it should add a "USB Audio Device" line)
- select this line and press del.
- disconnect and reconnect Spark.

Then follow the screenshots.
rqs: when you are in step:
- 4, choose "Have Disk"
- 5, choose "Browse" and select the folder where is spark_xp.inf

Some popup like 07.png may appear, choose "Continue"

  thanks for your reply and i now have a better understanding of what's going on.
I followed the screenshots (even though they're in french?) but have already tried that and windows won't give me those options..ithink it is because the spark_xp.inf is just nowhere to be found. i certanly can't see it anywhere. (re - attachment)
although from what you are saying it will not affect the operation of spark and that's all we are really concerned about

Hmmm,
Yes you are right.
It is not present in this version of the install disc, sorry.
I will tell our webmaster to add this in the website.
This is not a problem to use Spark without installing it. This is just more convenient.
