Does Matrix-12 work with ProTools 10.37?
« on: January 03, 2015, 07:02:29 pm »
Am just about to buy Matrix 12V, however even though I'm on Mountain Lion, I'm on ProTools 10.37.

I assume it'll work okay as AAX works fine in ProTools 10?

Your minimum spec said PT11, however I still don't think PT11 is ready for a professional environment yet and has a long development cycle to go to catch up with PT10's stability.

Please advise. Thanks

Don't know where you get the idea but PT11 is plenty ready for a professional environment. You just have to have a system that's up to snuff. Sure there's more development that can be done but it's been a viable program for production work for quite a while. PT11.3.0 works great in OSX 10.8.5 (you don't say what version of ML you're running). If you have the ability - go for the latest version of PT11. Keep in mind that PT10, even though it uses aax format plugins, that's aax32 bit and PT11 uses aax64 bit. Some developer's aax format plugins work in both but not all.

That being said Matrix12 works fine in Pt10.3.9
