Favourite Kit Tagging
« on: May 16, 2014, 04:00:58 pm »
Hi All – is there any way to tag kits or projects as “Favourite” or similar?  If not, is there a workaround?

hi,
this is something we have thought about but currently not possible.
As a workaround you can put the kits in a user bank.

Yeah, I think this is something I did with my old Spark and seemed to recall it worked fine..

Will have a play and see if I can remember what to do..

HI
I went through my kits and re-saved them in a user bank i set up. This way you can reveal certain banks without showing the full list of projects. Very useful when using the controller when you don't have that much time or hand free to look at the software.

Thanks, Stuart

Yeah, I tried this over the weekend and it works fine.  I simply copied my favourite kits into the user area from Explorer, deleting the Factory version.

It will be good once we have this in the UI but for now, manually moving the kits works as required.

thanks,

Save as works on factory kits as well as user kits. When you save as, just save them in your drop down user bank. Although that said, if you have loads it's probably as well to copy them in the finder/explorer.

Set a up a bank called 'Favourite' and save them in there. You can them filter your results to only show the kits you want. As you've deleted the factory kits they now won't appear in the 'ALL' list, which might be confusing once you've forgotten you deleted them :)

Thanks, Stuart

Your  approach sounds a bit more sexy than my approach and, it means I don’t have to close Spark and mess around in Explorer, trying to remember which kits I like.

Im not fussed about the kits being removed from the Factory list – I actually want them to be removed to keep things simple.

But yeah, it all works but thanks again for this pointer – I will try your approach next time in studio.
