How to split and roll hi-hat samples?
« on: May 16, 2016, 09:38:08 am »
Just received the Spark Le Drum Machine and is in need of guidance. How would you go about spliting/rolling Hi-Hats & Snares? In the style of Hip-Hip, Trap, R&B etc. It's so many options with the Drum Machine I don't know where to start!
Please help...

Start by watching some videos on youtube! And read the manual too....But you have to know that it is outdated,  so just use it to understand the basic concept........

And about rolling.... you just press any pad and make sure you are in roller mode and then touch your finger on the fx pad..... without letting your finger from the pad.........

Good start.... and enjoy!!!

I love the roller, and it's perfect for what you want to use it for. I also do this and I sometimes clean it up or delete hits in the sequencer to make it more interesting. You can also select the drum and record automation for anything. I like to automate a filter on rolled hi hats to make it more interesting/less fatiguing.
