Not receiving midi data
« on: May 20, 2014, 06:59:06 pm »
Hi Iam new to the forum and new to synthesizers, the microbrute is a really nice piece of equipment but iam having trouble syncing it with ableton's clock though midi over usb. These are the specs of my computer and the process y make for connecting the microbrute:

-Macbook 2008 2.16ghz 1GB ram
-Native instruments Audio 8

-Open midi tab in ableton live
-Load external instruments rack
-Select midi to Microbrute (midi interface)
-Select midi channel 1
-Select audio from native instruments mono channel 5
Now when a key is playes full sound comes throught the midi channel.

In preferences tab
-Select input Microbrute (midi interface)
-Select output Microbrute (midi interface)
Under in input and output track buttons are selected.

At this point the Microbrute doesnt show signs of incoming clock on the leds and when the sequencer is turned on it will play at its own rate.

Also went to the connection software, and selected ext clock and there the sequencer stops working and keeps holding a key, weird thing.

Could anyone help me out? Would really apreciate

Thanks for your reply, I also checked the sync box and instantly appears the visual tick in live but no response in the microbrute
