Spark V2 and Cakewalk Sonar X2
« on: May 08, 2014, 04:22:40 am »
Hello

I have Spark VDM 1.7  and use it with Cakewalk X2. I have an issue where I can drop the drum patterns of Spark  I create into a track BUT cannot  manipulate/change drum pattern (it does not show up like Session Drummer where you can see each instrument and change/modify them) Also I cannot work out how to record a drum pattern with Spark VDM 1.7 and change drum pattern while using Cakewalk recording.

Sorry to sound dumb but is this ...........
1) A flaw in Spark VDM 1.7
2) Fixed in Spark V2
3) If not is there a way to work around it. Do I need to look at another DAW?

THANKS
Barry

I have Sonar X1 and really cannot work out how to set up the Spark so that it recieves midi data.

I have managed to set it up as a VST - but when you play any midi (e.g. most data going to a workstation) and the drums going to Spark - the Spark plays whatever is in the currently loaded Spark project.

OK - I managed to fix it!

needed to Switch Spark into midi mode and make sure sonar was sanding the correct midi notes!

Easy really
