Controller dead after SW hang
« on: March 17, 2012, 06:06:50 pm »
After a SW (Analog Factory) hang, the controller is no longer recognized. When I turn the controller on the buttons light up normally and they all turn on/off normally, but the software and the host computer will not recognize that the hw exists.

I've tried rebooting and plugging into different USB ports.

Now I'm looking for some other way of confirming that the controller is recognized by the OS at all, just to confirm that there is no HW malfunction. Is there any way of checking this outside of MIDI control center and analog factory.

Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

The OS is OS X 10.7 on a 2011 iMac with 16GB of Ram.

For reference, here's the case number as well: 106233

Just an update in case anyone is following this.
I am now emailing back and forth with Arturia Support trying to find either a fix or at least the cause of the issue. I have tried resetting the internal memory and installing the HW/SW on a second computer but to no luck.

On a side note though, I also got the Spark a while back and it's running like a charm!

Hopefully this is an isolated case.

I will continue to update this thread and hopefully it could help someone else too.

Thanks

Hi globbe,

Check out this thread! It's round The Player, but the issue is the same. Maybe you'll finde some useful infos there.

Good luck and best regards

Manuel
