Rotary encoders issue

Just bought Lab 49 key with v collection today. Everything makes sounds like it should but when I adjust levels on the all rotary knobs either up or down, they shoot to middle way and wont budge further. Volume and all parameters. Really frustrating! I checked the midi map to make sure they werent set to not go past a certain level and they were 0-127 on all. Is this software or the controller? I love the standalones in the v collection and just wanna use this thing to its full potential. Thanks anyone who helps me out here!

Hi Niicholas,
this is a known bug. The rotary encoders have to be set on knob mode: "absolute" or they only send midi-messages in between of 61 and 67.

Please don't use the Midi-Control-Center to change the settings, because it's also a single bug (for further information about that refer to the forum).
Better do it by hand on the controller:

1. Turn on your keyboard
2. Press the "setup"-Button (under the display), so that it's lit (active).
3. Press the "global" button (Button Nr. 6), so that it's lit.
Now on the display you should see something like

Param: Fader Mod
Value: DrawBar

4. Turn the "Value"-Encoder, so that the value changes to normal.
5. Press the "Value"-Encoder
6. Turn the "Param"-Encoder until it says :

Param: KnobMode
Value: Relative

7. Turn the "Value"-Encoder, so that the value changes to absolute
8. Press the "Value"-Encoder
9. Press the "Store"-Button (Button Nr. 9)
10. Push the "Value"-Encoder
Now the keyboard will ask you, if you are sure, that you want to store the changes.
11. Push the "Value"-Encoder once again to store your changes. The "Setup"-Button-light will turn off and you're done.

Now the faders work as faders again, and the Knobs send the usual Midi Values again.

Hey thanks alot!! Glad to know its nothing serious but I do all the steps...make all the changes..but it doesnt take. I get the change to absolute and hit the save...press the value one more time to save the change and it doesnt take. any ideas? Thanks again

Hey Nicholas,
don't kill me for that question, but did you hit the store button, too?

After changing the value to absolute you must
press the value encoder > hit the store button > press the value encoder again (now select the memory number or) > press the value encoder again.
Then it should work. Mine does it that way.
