Logic pro 9 /Spark/Midi

I was wondering if anyone knows how to record the patterns in spark as midi ? every time time i hit record in logic i get blank region on the channel no midi has been recorded. The only way i can get midi to record, is by manually tapping out the pads.
I just want to record some of the patterns strait on to the channel. is this possible?

You can easily drag and drop your patterns into your DAW ... please read the manual for more details.
