New Origin firmware Version 1.3.13

A new preview version of the Origin firmware - Version_1.3.13 - is available for download here:

As usual do not forget to update first the Origin Connection app.

A preset modified and saved with the 1.3.13 version is not backward compatible with 1.2.5 firmware. When you start the update Origin Connection first make a backup of your current presets.

The version posted yesterday had a sound bug in the WaveTableOsc module, so all sounds that used that module were affected!
We have built a newer version which corrects that problem: Version_1.3.14, it can be downloaded here:

By the way, we are working on the correction of another known bug: the replace connection option when editing patches may sometimes result in some random addition or removal of connections, which do not correspond to what can be seen on the Edit page. To avoid these strange behaviors, while waiting that we correct the bug, you should use first delete connection and then add connection.

I'm confused on your numbering, I already have vs. 1.3.15 installed and now you have 1.3.14.

You probably have the RC1_1.3.15, that is "Release Candidate 1 number 1.3.15". This was the last beta.

The last firmware named "Version_1.3.14" is very close to the final release version the only known major bug is the "Replace Connection" bug mentioned by Niccolo).

So you can - and should - update your Origin with the firmware "Version_1.3.14".

question: any chance of improving the speed in which updates occur? I know I know, it's not designed so that you are constantly putting updates on the product

but for those of us testing for you guys, it's a little time consuming

was just editing/saving a multi preset when my origin just froze. Sounds still came out, but none of the buttons work.

Anyone else had this?

Actually, that multi had the wave table osc in there, so maybe it was the bug you mention above as I've not gone to 14 yet.

I don't think it is related because the bug we corrected about wavetables was only about the sound, and could not make the interface crash.
Now I am very interested in trying to reproduce your crash. Can you try to remember exactly what you were doing before, and what action made it freeze in the end? (What page, what button, any detail may help...). I know it was 01:49 AM and it may be hard to remember ...

I was attempting to sequence a drum beat from a 3 part multi, but I'm not good with sequencers and couldn't get it working the way I want so was fiddling around. Can't remember exactly.

1.5 is already announced for Q1/2011, which ends in 6 weeks.
