Hmmmm... yes, that ocurred to me, but one solution is, the new
"optional" cabinet - since its use would be actually not necessarily
needed to play regular sounds, - once it is launched, it would be
attached to the main synth cabinet (below or above, for example), and
it would prevent to be closed if is there any cord patched or active
module on it. Once all patch cords are unplugged and all modules are
inactive, the extra cabinet could be closed at the user's will.
A window scroll mode could be toggled on/off for the entire synth+aux
cabinet combo for those who wants to save screen space. I suggest
toggled on/off because there could be a moment the user would want to
see the whole set of modules to decide where to patch.
Just imagine: new modules could be even sold as, say, plug-ins or
add-ons to those who wants specific features (spectrum follower just to
point one)...
