You're right, that would be an excellent additional feature, and we are already thinking about it. (yes, really!)
The reason why we did not implement this feature is because templates are more than a simple patch, there is much fine tuning inside. And if a MiniMg template was not so difficult to implement, the CS-80 and other monsters are another huge work.
