really, i don´t seem to get it: i loaded a preset "R&J Standby" which has the arpeggiator running and now i don´t know how to switch it off!!!

On the J8 (so same bahavior on the J8V), the "Arpeggio" and "Assign Mode" are exclusive from each other; so to leave the Arpeggio mode, just click "Solo", "Uni" or "Poly" mode.

well, this i tried earlier but it didn´t help...

anyway, now i found out that it was the sequencer, not the arpeggio!
