ASIO driver error message
« on: November 04, 2003, 04:22:54 pm »
i can not for the life of me get the ASIO driver to work for the MMV.
When I try to select the proper ASIO driver I get a pop-up error window
that says "ASIO driver failed to initialize.... error -301"
I have no idea what an error -301 means, can you give me a clue?

I have tested my ASIO driver with other softsynths
and in cubase SX and the driver works just fine...

without ASIO I only have Direct X to fall back on which is
no good for playing live.

any assistance you might offer to resolve this issue
would be greatly appreciated.

sincerely

Hmmm, sounds like you are using either a Soundblaster live or Audigy.  I believe both are true 48khz by default and the asio driver is set for 44khz.  Best bet is get a better asio wdm/driver for SB/audigy, and the best on is http://www.kxproject.com. The nice thing about this driver is that it will allow you to select (settings, asio) the frequency to run, just change it to 44khz.  Once you do that change, the error goes away ! I know, this same thing happened to me !!  Hope this helps.....

Regards Steve

P.S. If you want to hear the MMV in action, check out our song "Wake The Dragon" at http://www.azureth.com, all synth solos were done with the MMV !![/url]
