« on: November 12, 2013, 05:52:52 pm »
finally the fw is here and everything is fine right now, but one thing:
i wanted to edit the sequences via FW but there is just an option to import a special mbsf.
is it not possible to load your own midis to the micro??

No it's not possible. It would far too complex to handle.
Their could be a lot a different informations available in a midi file. Most of them can not be interpreted by the MicroBrute basic sequencer.
But still you can easily modify the text based version .mbseq files.

It very well detailed in the user manual on page 12.
Don't worry the format is very simple. You just need a test editor. If any question ask support on this forum.

i was wondering what kind of signal the "rest"-button generates to make a pause in the sequencer.
i could not find it in the manual where the temporal changes from the Connection software are described.
if this button also has a CC value it would be possible to record external midi sequences right into the microbrute.

this would be great

it would be even better to record in sync with the sequencer bpm
without having to "compose" the sequence with the pauses and the note durations in mind
just "play along" as the sequencer advances.

is this even possible with the microbrute?

the Midi message for rest is note number 127.
The sequencer has been designed as a step sequencer, it's quiet difficult to turn it into a live recording sequencer afterward
