Buying a used Spark from retailer (not original owner). Can I authorize?

Hello! Spark looks cool and I was thinking of getting a used one.

I'm concerned about how I can authorize the software if I were to buy it used. Say, if I bought it through a music store used and didn't get original discs or a serial #. I tried to make a support ticket for this question, but since I don't have a product to register, I wasn't able to create a ticket.
