Hello everyone,

I'm sorry if this post already exists but i searched for a while and couldn't really find an answer. So here it goes:

Can you switch to another pattern before al, let's say, 4 parts of the pattern have been completed?
Example: Playing pattern A1, wich has 64 steps, but i want the last 16 steps to be a fill or drum roll so i want to use pattern A2 for that.
But when i press A2 it finishes A1 first. Is there a way to turn this off or work around it?

Much appreciated!

P.S. Oh yeah. I have one more issue. Can you record the midi data of a pattern direct into the spark midi track in your DAW? Now i just drag and drop the patterns because recording just comes up with an empty pattern. Im thinking this has something to do with the midi in/out public/private port stuff but i cant seem to get it right. Im using Ableton 9. Thanks!

Yes, you have to set the preference "Switch pattern instantaneously" to Yes.

To record MIDI in real time, you have to use a separate MIDI track. Check the following section 7.6.1 (Recording MIDI out to a VST or RTAS host) in Spark user's manual.

Thanks for the reply, cant believe i missed that option about switching instantaneously. As for the MIDI record bit, I dont have a 7.6.1 section in
my manual. But i did some more googling and came up with this: http://www.arturia.net/downloads/spark/manual/Spark_1_4_1_What_s_new.pdf
So for other people wondering how to do this; the midi record bit starts at the bottom of page 3.
