I'm sitting around reading a few Arturia .pdf manuals that I never bothered reading before, and noticed that the CS-80V manual starts:
"Yamaha was created at the end of the 19th century, in Hamamatsu, Japan.
The first electronic instrument, the Electone D-1 electronic organ, was designed and built in
1959. But the history of the CS-80 began when, in 1974, the GX-1 was released."
Woah; I don't even think a beginning musician would believe that. I think
"The" is meant to be "Their;" Or to avoid any confusion change it to "Yamaha's first electronic instrument."
The claim for the first electronic instrument currently goes to the Denis d'or from around 1753. Here's the Wikipedia version of history on
Electronic Musical Instruments.
