Minibrute in Live 8

Hey guys! So I've got my MB plugged in via USB. MIDI channel set to receive from Minibrute. MIDI channel is receiving data, the (dotted volume goes up and down) but no sound coming out from master.... what am I missing here? Thanks for any help!

Are you trying to use the MB as a MIDI controller for Live or are you trying to trigger the MB with Live via MIDI? The wording of your query doesn't make it clear.

If I understand correctly you wish to send MIDI note information from Live to your MB via USB.

What MIDI channel is your MB set to receive on? Have you installed the MiniBrute Connection software? If not, its available here:

Is Live outputting MIDI note information on the same MIDI channel that your MB is set to receive on? 

I all of this checks out, your MB should be playing.  If not, what happens if you hit a key on your MB, does it play?

Live recognizes that the Minibrute is plugged in and receives input (the volume bar for the corresponding midi channel goes up) but there is no sound being produced from the Minibrute in Live.

Do the envelope LEDs on the MB light up when receiving the MIDI note information?

When you hit a key on your MB do you hear it?

How do you have the audio output of the MB routed?  Master out to an audio-in on your computer/interface?

I have the minibrute routed to Live via USB. As a standalone device it works fine, sounds great. I have a MIDI channel opened and External Instrument set up to receive from Minibrute. Strangely, when I create a clip and press play, the MB lights up as if receiving information but no sound comes out. Is there someone I can call for support? It would be easier.

Just so it is clear: the MB's USB port does nothing with audio, its just a USB MIDI I/O connection.  Is the Master Out of your MB plugged into your computer in any fashion?

The master out? No. I guess I will need to run a quarter inch cable to my audio interface.

Okay. Got my minibrute and tempest routed to my mixer. Mixer routed to audio interface and audio interface sending to Live. Both Tempest and MB are sending/receiving midi via usb. Now I just need to figure out how to sync both devices to Live's internal clock.
