Can't Mute Instruments Using Spark With Logic
« on: March 17, 2013, 04:38:15 pm »
I'm trying to record the individual instruments of a Spark pattern in Logic by soloing Spark tracks, or muting those tracks I don't want to record. However, whenever I try this either way the supposedly muted tracks are only dipped, and can still be heard at a lower volume.

Anyone else have the same problem? Is there a workaround?

(By the way, I know there is a procedure to record individual Spark tracks in Logic with one pass, but this records the tracks dry without effects, and I find the tracks record at a very low volume. I should be able to record individual tracks the way I suggest. Why can't I do this, anyone?)

Hi,
can you send me an audio example and if possible a Logic project?

I will try to figure out what is the problem.

Thanks for the offer Kevin. I Quit Logic and re-opened, and now the individual tracks are recording fine when soloed. I don't know why there was a problem originally, but whatever the issue was it seems to have rectified itself.

I'll let you know if it resurfaces.
