PT9 win7 Novation SLmk2 confilcts?

Has anyone experienced compatibility issues when using another controller (not intended for spark) as well as loading spark (and ITS controller)
with say my novation taking control of the spark plugin,

I.E. if  I load PT WITHOUT the novation connected, I can use the spark controller to control spark....
if I load PT WITH the novation connected, it seems to want control of the spark plugin.

I have disabled automap from recognizing Spark.

ALSO

when loading a collection of patterns made in standalone mode...  Loading the RTAS plugin version in PT 'doesn't conform' to the sounds Ive made.
IE. Kick drums are pitched higher, delay settings are different etc..

In order to understand better the problem, I have a few questions.

What do you mean exactly by "it seems to want control of the spark plugin".
Is Spark controller able to connect to Spark software?

Concerning the preset issue, does it happens when you are loading Spark from a fresh PT session?
