You can use the clock out on the Drumbrute to the clock in on the miniFreak to have the Drumbrute control start/stop and tempo, etc., or vice versa. Or connect them with MIDI cables and set the MIDI clock appropriately on each device (send and receive). The manuals should have some info on the exact settings.
