Hi, i got me a Beatstep for use as a midi controller for an ableton live set but I am experiencing some very weird sudden midi channel changes.
In MCC I mapped all of the faders and pads on the BS to channel 6, even tried to set the global Midi channel to 6 under "project". I am using the BS to control a drum rack in ableton live, that is set :"midi from: Arturia Beatstep" and Channel 6. Now all works alright for a while, but after a few touches, the BS's pad channel suddenly changes from 6 to 1, 10, etc thus activating some of my other midi maps (which I use to trigger other clips in ableton live). - rendering using BS for my live set super risky as it spontaniously activates different songs/clips etc.
Am i doing something wrong here? I created a local template and tried to save it to all Memory slots, incl. working memory, nothing helped, as it changed to other midi channels soon. In Live's Midi settings, i set ticked "Track" and "Remote" for the Beatstep.
my set up is:
Beatstep - USB hub - Ableton Live
Roland SPD SX - USB Hub - Ableton Live
Axiom 49 midi keys - audio interface - Ableton Live
I have an M1 Mac, Monterey
Ableton live 11.2.7
MCC v.: 1.14.1.2
Thank you for any help!
