Preset converter VC
« on: October 22, 2022, 11:40:10 am »
Hi all,
Well i'm using various versions of V-Synths and now have an issue with one of them. So, i get a Vangelis preset package who somes are played with the Jupiter V3. How to transfert them to the V4? I have tried to used VC4 preset converter but no way. The presets from the Vangelis Banks doesn't appears after scan. So i tried to save the preset as user preset and also no way.
I get also VC5 converter but no way to reinstall it on my mac mini who runs actually Big Sur 11.x.
So how to convert V3 presets to V4 Jupiter 8 version?
Thanks for your help.

Hello,

CS-80 V4, Jup-8 V4, Prophet 5 V and Prophet VS V are all completely rebuilds. They can't use older versions presets. The same settings would'nt sound the same in the new version anyway. So no conversion possible.

The VC preset converter you mention in a thread, was to convert V-Collection (VC) - 4 presets to V - Collection 5 presets years ago. A new browser system was introduced.

You can search the forums for informations. You are not the first to ask.
Also - Keep in mind that individual applications has seperate forums.
