Origin with Analog Factory Keyboard via USB... Not working

I'd like to use my Arturia Analog Factory keyboard to drive Origin. I have connected up the USB midi out to the Origin ub, but get nothing at all. What am I doing wrong?

I don't really want to use midi leads or have to power the AF keyboard from a separate messy power supply (which I don't have)

Sorry about all the questions. Hope someone can help and advise.

so you mean you found a B-B usb cable???

you have to use a midi cable. if you don't have a power supply for the keyboards, just plug a usb cable to your computer it will "just" send electricity to the keyboard

I managed to get the b to b cable, and expected that the Origin would provide the necessary power to the connected controller keyboard, but unfortunately apparently not. That's a real shame if it is indeed the case. I am trying to avoid using computers in the process, preferring to stay somewhat old school, although I appreciate your suggestion, and indeed it does work perfectly!

I wonder if someone could confirm that the Origin provides no USB power?

If that's the case, can anyone offer a definitive answer I wonder, as to what the proper mains adaptor for the small analog factory keyboard should be?

Can you tell me where did you get that b to b cable? I can't find a single one.

By the way, i think it's not designed to work like this, and may be dangerous for your devices. You should find the power supply type  you need in the factory manual, if bot i'm quite sure arturia will telle you if you ask the support team.

I think you'll find plenty of cables on Amazon. I even found an adaptor to convert A type to B type for just 99p delivered!
