Continuous "Run" signal for modular
« on: August 25, 2022, 09:08:30 am »
Hi all,

I'm running my KeyStep Pro with a Eurorack system, using ALM Pamela as a (slave) clock. The main clock should be the KSP (as it is also controlling other devices)

The clock signal is no problem, but KSP should also start and stop Pamela with a "Run" signal. As KSP does not have a dedicated "Run" output, I have sacrificed one of the four CV gates by playing a note for a full sequence. This sort of works, but not quite always, as it is briefly stopping the signal once the sequence ends. So it can create all sorts of unexpected hiccups …  :P

Does anyone know how to get a real, uninterrupted gate signal out of KSP when it's playing?  ??? ???

Thx

If you have a modular you could easily turn the pulse signal into a continuous one (e.g. by sacrificing one EG, tuning the hold time to be slightly longer than the pulse period)
