Just tried connecting my Minifuse 1 with my iPhone and iPad gen7 through a 3rd party Lightning adapter. Even when connected to a charger it won’t power the Minifuse. I’ve seen it works with USB C iPads but not sure if it will work with lightning. Don’t want to spend the money buying an apple adapter if that’s not going to work anyway.

Has anyone used it with lightning? Do I need a Powered hub or will a genuine apple adapter work?

I expect you would need a powered hub, connected via an Apple USB 3 adaptor. That's the only way I could ever get my iPad to communicate with high-powered hardware like audio interfaces (nb not specifically the audiofuse, I use a different brand). The most you can connect without additional power are midi controllers.
