Yet More Keylab MkII 88 Sustain problems
« on: July 10, 2022, 08:45:19 pm »
Keylab MkII 88
Firmware 1.3.1
Ableton Live 11.1
Mac OS 12.4
Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol A61

Keylab problem = sustain behaves like a "latch" meaning when i press sustain pedal, it sticks on.  have to press and release again to turn off sustain.  This behavior is evident w Arturia VSTs, native Ableton instruments etc.

When i connect the Komplete Kontrol - no problems.  Sustain pedal behaves normally (sustains when pressed down, no sustain when released).

Any suggestions?  I've dug thru many of these forums, updated firmware, tried remapping CC messages etc.  VERY Frustrated that such a basic functionality is broken.

From the Keylab MKII User Guide, it is a setting that can be changed.

8.12.3. Pedal Switched Control
This option can be selected to use your pedal as a binary switch.
• Option: Choose between Gate and Toggle. Gate activates the pedal only when
pressed and deactivates it when released; Toggle activates the pedal when
pressed and deactivates it when it is pressed again.
