Global sustain is seemingly not giving the correct response. Thankyou

Hi,

Can you please give an example and tell what you exspect? What's not correct?

CS-80 sustain is'nt a simple hold of notes. It's allways releative to the set release time set in the pedal section, and it has 2 modes.

I think it work correct, but have'nt spend lots of time with it yet.

I've just had a short look at it.
The original Sustains two modes seems to work correct.

But - Then there also is a HOLD that is active, when the original Sustain is'nt on.
That does hold. But like some other Arturia synths, then notes are stolen from notes where the keys is pressed down, instead of just use notes where no key is pressed, when using more that the max number of notes/ voices.
So the question is, if this is what you mean?

It seems only to be extending the VCA sustain, making it seem a bit weak. The VCF sustain/release should also be extended, no?

You will notice it if you play more plucky sounds eg guitar, think Vangelis 'to the unknown man type' of sounds. It is not working correctly. Not in either mode 1 or 2. I am not talking about a hold function. CS-80 has the best sustain pedal functionality of all synths. I could never understand why many of its concepts didn't become more widely adopted.

So you have the original Sustain mode on.
Yes. But that's probably about the Initial Touch Response issue i posted a link for in my previous post and not about the pedal.
Is'nt it?

If you post a Factory preset name, then i can test too.

Actually it does'nt extend the VCA correct either, for the VCA level that's applied through the Initial Touch Response. It make so many things sound strange and plain wrong, as all Brilliance and  Level applied in the Initial Touch Response effectively has no release time.
