Digital Performer Setup - KeyLab Essential

I just wanted to share how I setup MOTU Digital Performer.
I had some issues and couldn't find any solutions, the biggest one was having MCC open when DP was open.
This will result in seeing Midi activity in DP but not actually triggering anything.

Midi Control Center:

• Device Settings > DAW Mode: HUI
• Quit Midi Control Center before opening DP (this is the most frustrating issue and I missed the documentation on it)

Digital Performer
Set up midi instrument:

• Menu > Studio > Bundles
• Select Midi tab
• Add your KeyLab Essential

Set up control surface:

• Menu > Setup > Control Surface Setup
• Click the plus + to add new surface
• Driver : HUI
• input port : Arturia KeyLab Essential 49 DAW in (this may be listed under Unconfigured ports)
• output port : Arturia KeyLab Essential 49 DAW out

This fixed my issues, hope it helps someone else.

P.S. I also had to examine what "device" DP was actually seeing DAW Control MIDI traffic on because it was a MIDI2 Keylab instead of the same name I set up in Bundle.
