Sequencer only recording every other note

So I finally got to grips with the ‘Freak’s sequencer. Watched loads of videos, pretty much worked how how to- but the synth won’t play fair. It only records every other step, and the oled screen even shows steps 2, 4, 6 etc as ‘off’ as they occur. Obviously they don’t play. There’s no menu option that will make the sequencer record on every step, no button or knob will affect the ‘off’ step, and turning it off and on again doesn’t resolve the issue.

Bug, or user error?

Were you ever able to resolve this? Im having some major midi sync (arp feature) issues with my brand new microfreak right now, and I see a troubling pattern of posts like yours being ignored.
Ive created a ticket for my issues and am waiting for a reply, and Im hoping to learn very soon if this device can function as intended. If it cant, I need to return it ASAP.
